"ASME Idea Lab is an incubator for individuals and ventures with early-stage hardware-led social innovations. The goal of the project is for the Fellow to support the improvement of Idea Lab workflows through the following objectives: 1. Research and inform the best practices for scheduling the meetings between Idealab mentors and innovators - Study current idealab tools and processes as well as various market available tools to compare and analyse the best fit for the Idealab’s requirement, and make recommendations for the best suitable practices. 2. Research and make recommendations on best workflow for Idealab Repository of database building and practices - How to improve retention of information between mentor engagements and across different mentors (i.e. repository or database of progress updates, mentors notes, mentee questions) 3. Research and inform the best processes for recruiting the ad-hoc experts and improve the workflow recruiting volunteer experts within ASME’s Technical Divisions - Recommend a formalized process/workflow for expert recruitment moving forward.
