The goal of this project is to support one of Good Machine’s portfolio companies, Balloon Tech Co which uses high altitude balloons for earth observation (specifically wildfire detection), in building off-the-shelf products related to high-altitude earth observation data. The Fellow will be working on projects in various stages of development, from bench prototype to small run hand assembly production. Specifically, the Fellow will support with designing, assembling, and documenting electronics wiring and custom cabling; integrating electrical subsystems; testing components and subsystems for reliability and environmental durability; writing BOMs and procedures; analyzing data; and maintaining a small EE lab.
